This 23-year longitudinal study examined the impact of childhood sexual abuse on female development across six assessments from age 11 to 25. It found that sexually abused females on average showed negative effects in many biopsychosocial domains, including earlier puberty, cognitive deficits, depression, dissociation, revictimization, and health issues.
