About this document

Exploring Japan by DICX777 is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Bullet trains, also called shinkansen, are high-speed trains that connect major cities in Japan. They are nicknamed "bullet trains" because of their pointed noses and high speed. Bullet trains are punctual, comfortable with forward-facing seats and legroom, and very safe with only a few accidents in their 50-year history. While bullet trains are expensive, taking one is often more convenient than flying since train stations are located in city centers unlike airports.
