Can I read Fluctuations and Signals for Scalar Hyperbolic Equations on Adjustable Meshes on EtoBox?
Fluctuations and Signals for Scalar Hyperbolic Equations on Adjustable Meshes by M. J. Baines; S. J. Leary is a Engineering article available to read on EtoBox.
What is Fluctuations and Signals for Scalar Hyperbolic Equations on Adjustable Meshes about?
A problem with ̄uctuation distribution schemes for steady hyperbolic partial dierential equations on unstructured triangular meshes is that the ̄uctuations are not driven to zero at convergence. One way of alleviating the diculty is to allow the mesh to adjust, using the extra degrees of freedom to counteract the problem and improve the approximation. For scalar equations the method then becomes an approximate method of characteristics. A steepest descent least squares method and a procedure coupling least squares with multidimensional upwinding are used. An upwinded `descent' method is also proposed.
