Raffaello Sanzio was a Renaissance Italian painter and builder born in Italy in 1483. He was orphaned at a young age and initially learned painting from his father. In 1496, he went to Perugia to study under the master painter Pietro Perugino. In 1504, Raffaello moved to Florence where he was influenced by Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. Later, Pope Julius II invited him to work in the Vatican due to his talent and charm. There, he was commissioned to paint frescoes on the walls of the Sistine Chapel. R
