This document summarizes a study on the effects of live load on reinforced concrete box culverts under varying depths of soil fill. 10 existing culverts with fill depths ranging from 2.5 to 13.5 feet were instrumented with strain transducers and LVDTs to measure responses under loaded truck passes.
