This study examines patient adherence to an 8-week regimen of primaquine treatment for Plasmodium vivax malaria provided by community volunteers in Kayin State, Myanmar. The study interviewed 140 patients who received primaquine treatment from October 2017 to September 2018. It found that 60% of patients were likely adherent by completing the full 8-week course at the correct dose and interval, while 40% were non-adherent.
