Late Shri Galbabhai Nanjibhai Patel had a dream to uplift village farmers in Banaskantha district through a cooperative milk union. In 1966, he started sending milk from 8 village cooperatives to Dudh Sagar Dairy in Mehsana. Banas Dairy was registered in 1969 based on the Kaira district milk union model.
