What is Colombia about?

Colombia is highly susceptible to earthquakes due to its location along the Pacific Ring of Fire, with significant events like the 1983 Popayán Earthquake causing extensive damage and fatalities. The 2015 Los Santos earthquake, while damaging many homes, resulted in no casualties, showcasing the effectiveness of seismic-resistant building codes. Recent earthquakes continue to highlight the need for adherence to these codes to reduce housing losses in vulnerable areas.
