This case report describes the orthodontic treatment of an 18-year-old female patient with a gummy smile caused by excessive gingival display during smiling. Mini-implants were placed in the maxillary posterior and anterior regions and used to intrude and retract the maxillary incisors using a nickel-titanium closed-coil spring.
