What is Understanding Shared Ethernet Adapters about?

A Shared Ethernet Adapter (SEA) connects virtual Ethernet networks on logical partitions to physical Ethernet networks. It acts as a layer 2 bridge, allowing virtual adapters without physical adapters to access external networks. The SEA forwards traffic between virtual and physical adapters based on VLAN tags. SEA failover provides high availability by failing over traffic to a backup SEA on another Virtual I/O Server if the primary SEA fails.
