What is History and Rules of Volleyball about?

William G. Morgan invented volleyball in 1895 by blending elements of several sports and raising a tennis net. The first game was played with a rubber bladder from a basketball. Over time, the equipment and rules standardized, with the international governing body FIVB setting regulations for court dimensions, ball specifications, and a net height of 2.43m for men and 2.24m for women. Beach volleyball later emerged in the 1940s with a slightly smaller court and larger ball.
