Jean Piaget: Life and Cognitive Stages by Shanza Ambreen is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Jean Piaget was a Swiss psychologist born in 1896 who studied cognitive development in children. He identified four main stages of development: the sensorimotor stage from birth to age 2 where children know the world through senses and movement; the preoperational stage from ages 2 to 7 where symbolic thought and language emerge; the concrete operational stage from ages 7 to 11 where logical thought develops; and the formal operational stage from age 12 on where abstract thinking ability increases.
