What is Speedy the Hare about?

Speedy the Hare recounts his famous race with the tortoise, claiming it was unfairly blown out of proportion. He tells how the fox goaded him into racing the tortoise over a long distance, confident Speedy would easily win. However, Speedy grew overconfident and stopped to nap, allowing the tortoise to plod ahead and win while Speedy was asleep.
