What is Ten Lost Tribes about?
The. Bible has often been called the Book of Israel, as much of it is devoted to that people both historically and prophetically, and many of its prophecies relate to the Nation of Israel. It is now certain that even the parable of 'Lazarus, the rich man in hell and his five brethren' (Luke 16: 19 to 31) is a prophecy primarily upon the twelve tribes of Israel, and that the characters in the parable are symbolisms. At the time Jesus narrated this prophecy, the twelve tribes had divided, forming two separate Kingdoms, the two-tribe Southern Kingdom, which Jesus pictured as the 'rich man' in the parable, and the ten-tribe Northern Kingdom which he pictured as the rich man's 'five brethren' (see book `Heaven And Hell'). Both Kingdoms had previously been uprooted from their land, with the two-tribe Kingdom going into captivity to Babylon and the ten-tribe Kingdom to Assyria.
