Their cry awoke Balintawak and echoed throughout the land. People from all walks of life - farmers, traders, fishers, and more - joined in the call for freedom that grew louder and spread further. Though facing the risks of bleeding and dying, the people raised their voices united in their great desire and demand for freedom.
