This document describes the isolation and identification of limonin, an antioxidant triterpenoid compound, from the seeds of Citrus microcarpa Bunge. The limonin was isolated using extraction and partitioning methods. Spectroscopic analysis using FTIR, 1H NMR, and comparison to literature indicated the compound was limonin. Antioxidant testing of limonin found it had strong activity in the DPPH and FRAP assays.
