This study examined the effects of specimen thickness and stress ratio on fatigue crack growth behavior in steel after a single overload cycle. Testing was conducted on 4mm, 12mm, and 18mm thick specimens under constant amplitude and single overload loading conditions at stress ratios of 0, 0.5, and 0.7. The results showed that thinner specimens experienced greater retardation from overloads than thicker specimens. Additionally, higher stress ratios led to longer retardation periods than lower stress ratios
