This article assesses the detailed career paths of super deluxe hotel GMs working in Korea and their attitudinal views. Results of career paths analyses showed both similarities and differences between Korean GMs and GMs of hotels in other countries assessed in past studies. Findings provide benefits to both incumbent hotel employees and potential employees in the hospitality field related to understanding the job qualifications required and the career promotion system involved in becoming a GM.
