What is History of Souroti Village in Macedonia about?

Souroti village was originally called "Surukli" and was owned by five Turkish landowners in the early 1900s. The first Greeks to settle in the area were a Vlach shepherd family from the Kozani region named the Christos Lolas family. Although they were originally shepherds, the Lolas family sold their sheep in order to buy the land from the Turkish landowners.
