What is H2S Safety Data Sheet and Hazards about?
Hydrogen sulfide is a toxic and flammable gas with a rotten egg smell. Inhalation of high concentrations can cause dizziness, headache, nausea, coma and death. Contact with the rapidly expanding gas or liquid can cause frostbite. The gas is heavier than air and poses fire and explosion hazards. Effects of exposure depend on concentration and duration, but can include irritation of eyes, skin and respiratory tract at low levels, and respiratory failure, unconsciousness or death at higher levels.
