Mr. B, a 17-year-old student, presented with itchy black patches on his groin that had been worsening for one month, especially with sweating. Physical examination found hyperpigmented plaques on both sides of his groin. He was diagnosed with tinea cruris (jock itch) based on the symptoms and examination. He was prescribed oral ketoconazole and loratadine for two weeks along with topical ketoconazole cream twice daily for 2-4 weeks. Prognosis for life, function, and healing was good.
