This study presents a substrate-free synthesis of sunflower-like nickel-copper carbonate hydroxide (NC) for use in asymmetric supercapacitors, achieving a high specific capacitance of 1185.9 F g−1. The developed quasi-solid-state supercapacitor device demonstrates excellent electrochemical performance with an energy density of 32.7 Wh kg−1 and 88.8% capacitance retention after 5000 cycles. The findings highlight the potential of this innovative material for advanced electronic applications.
