This document discusses using an unstirred reactor configuration to investigate the HBGS (hydrate-based gas separation) process for pre-combustion carbon dioxide capture. Experiments were conducted using different volumes of cyclopentane (CP) as a promoter to determine the optimal conditions. Results found that 15 ml of CP yielded the best performance for carbon dioxide capture from a CO2/H2 gas mixture at 6.0 MPa and 275.7 K.
