This is the third work in the series for the general reader issued by the Fondation igyptologique Reine Elisabeth. The name Memphis is here understood to include the whole Memphite area on the west bank of the Nile, from Abu Rauwash on the north, in the latitude of Cairo, to Meydfim, more than forty miles to the south. An interesting description is given of all the Old Kingdom cemeteries between these points and the text is illustrated by 392 figures, for the most part excellent photographs.
