This nonrandomized trial evaluated the effectiveness of modified Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for treating combat-related PTSD in active-duty military personnel deployed in Afghanistan or Iraq. Results showed that participants receiving modified PE experienced significant reductions in PTSD symptoms, while those receiving modified CPT showed improvements that were not statistically significant. The findings suggest that these therapies can be adapted for use in deployed set
