About this document
Types and Characteristics of MOSFETs by Rekha Nair is a document available to read on EtoBox.
There are two main types of MOSFETs: depletion type and enhancement type. Depletion type MOSFETs are normally on at zero gate-to-source voltage, while enhancement type MOSFETs are normally off and require a minimum gate voltage to turn on. Both types have N-channel and P-channel subtypes. Depletion type MOSFETs are used in logic circuits, while enhancement type MOSFETs are ideal for amplifier circuits as their drain current increases with rising gate voltage. The I-V characteristics and curves of a MOSFET c
