The research aims to evaluate the aerodynamic performance of variable speed fixed –pitch horizontal axis wind turbine blades airfoils through two-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis. The objective is to establish two dimensional CFD models of wind turbine blade airfoils and analyze their aerodynamic performance at different wind velocities. Different airfoils will be compared according to lift and drag coefficients to select the most efficient airfoil for the local site conditions.
