What is Ecological Feminism and Materiality about?

This article discusses the challenge that feminist critiques of sex and gender present for ecological approaches that affirm the materiality of bodies and earth. It argues that understanding the material givenness of earth and bodies as always transforming through relationships can underpin an ecological feminist view of sexed embodiment without being essentialist. Both science and some spiritual traditions only offer partial views of the material given.
