What is Plastic about?

Plastic pollution poses a catastrophic threat to marine life and oceans. Approximately 12 million tonnes of plastic debris enter oceans each year, where it is mistaken as food by animals and can kill them by choking or from indigestible pieces. Shockingly, plastic has been found at every level of the ocean food chain. Environmental groups are demanding that corporations and governments take urgent action to reduce plastic use through bans and legislation to preserve marine ecosystems for future generations.
