About this document

Corrosion Inhibition by Mebendazole on Steel by chima melford is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study analyzed and compared the gravimetric and electrochemical effects of C16H13N3O3 (methyl-5-benzoyl-2-benzimidazole carbamate, also known as Mebendazole) on mild steel corrosion in 0.5 M H2SO4. Results from gravimetric weight loss measurements showed that C16H13N3O3 inhibited corrosion at efficiencies over 90%. Electrochemical polarization experiments also exhibited corrosion inhibition efficiencies over 90% and corrosion rates that had excellent linear correlation with gravimetric data. Statistica
