What is Eighth-Grade Speaking Ability Issues about?

This thesis examines the problems with speaking ability for eighth grade students at SMP Islamic Center Samarinda in the 2022/2023 academic year. The study utilized a descriptive qualitative design with data collected through speaking assessments, interviews, and observations of 23 students. The findings showed that students struggled with almost all aspects of speaking assessed except pronunciation. Most problematic was fluency, with 7 students scoring a C, 14 scoring a D, and 1 scoring an E. Other issues
