What is Hydrovisbreaking-Hydrocracking Study about?

This document describes a study comparing hydrocracking and a combination of hydrovisbreaking followed by hydrocracking for upgrading heavy vacuum residue into lighter fuels. Heavy vacuum residue containing 4.36% sulfur and 13% asphaltenes was treated over a sulfided catalyst at temperatures of 350-425°C and 12 MPa hydrogen pressure.
