This study analyzed mixed microalgae species collected from drain water. Scanning electron microscopy revealed the microalgae morphology and elemental analysis using energy dispersive X-ray identified major and minor constituents. Thermogravimetric analysis determined moisture, volatile matter, ash and fixed carbon contents. Microalgae was blended with coal at different ratios and calorific values increased with higher coal content, with a 75% microalgae and 25% coal blend showing excellent energy content.
