VT01 is a console chip that includes a CPU, graphics processor, sound generator, RAM, and I/O control. It can display up to 64 sprites and two background pages with 4 colors or virtual 16 colors on a TV or LCD. The graphics processor handles sprite and background display and can access internal and external video RAM. The CPU controls program execution and interfaces with the graphics and sound units to display graphics and play audio.
