Eid-e-Zehra is a day of celebration that marks several important events in Shia Islamic history. It marks the beginning of the Imamate of the 12th Imam after the death of his father. It is also the first time the 4th Imam smiled after the tragedy at Kerbala, and commemorates the day when those responsible for the killing at Kerbala were arrested. The day marks the end of mourning for the Shia community and is an important festival honoring Fatima al-Zahra.
