What is Doxorubicin-liposomal: Myelosuppression and intestinal obstruction: case report about?
An approximately 68-year-old woman developed myelosuppression and intestinal obstruction during treatment with doxorubicin liposomal for high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) [route, dosage, duration of treatment to reactions onset and outcomes not stated]. The woman had presented initially in October 2015 and was diagnosed with stage IIIC HGSOC. She underwent various surgeries and treatments and experienced multiple local recurrences. Subsequently, her condition deteriorated, following which she was started on doxorubicin liposomal in December 2020. However, she developed grade III myelosuppression and intestinal obstruction as side effects secondary to doxorubicin liposomal. Doxorubicin was stopped after 1 cycle and the woman was started on paclitaxel, followed by combination of bevacizumab and gemcitabine. Then interstitial brachytherapy (BT) of right sacrococcygeal residual lesions was performed, following which, olaparib was started for maintenance. She was last reported to exhibit complete clinical response (CR).
