What is Vocabulary Mastery and Reading Comprehension about?

This study examines the effect of vocabulary mastery on the reading comprehension of junior high school students. A quantitative method with a simple linear regression analysis was used. The results show that vocabulary mastery has a significant effect on reading comprehension, with a correlation of 0.573 and coefficient of determination of 0.329, meaning vocabulary mastery accounts for 32.9% of reading comprehension.
