John Karl Hirten, a nationally-known organist and composer from the Bay Area, will present a workshop on mode, melody, and improvisation at Christ Church in Eureka on July 15th from 2-4pm. The workshop will explore using modes and melodies to develop an improvisational compositional style at the piano and organ. All skill levels are welcome to participate or observe in a supportive environment.
