What is Mycorrhizal Impact on Sunflower Drought Resilience about?

This study investigates the effects of arbuscular mycorrhizal inoculation on sunflower growth, yield, and nutrient uptake under drought stress conditions. Two species of mycorrhizal fungi, Glomus mosseae and Glomus hoi, were tested over two years, revealing that inoculated plants had higher yields and nutrient content compared to non-inoculated ones, particularly under drought stress. The results suggest that G. mosseae is more effective in enhancing sunflower productivity in arid and semi-arid regions.
