This paper examines the value and application of five senses design theory in interaction design. Through the analysis of human sensory experience, we know that at present, designers have focused on the emotional aspects of product design, while problems such as lack of innovation and poor performance of product interaction still exist. Mainly manifested on the one hand, lack of sensory mobilization, many designs only focus on visual performance, while ignoring other sensory experience. On the other hand, some designers have noticed the importance of five senses in interaction design, but many of them are still in simple interaction stage, cannot trigger people's deep emotional memory. Based on those problems, a method to score the designs by creating a Five Senses Map were proposed together with constructing five senses information chart system and methods for design improvement on emotional interaction for product design. The experience of five senses is also one of the standards for assessing whether it is a good design.
