What is 1 Samardzic (1) Beslin - Gegraphica Panonica about?

This article explores the deforestation in the Principality of Serbia from 1830 to 1878, highlighting the impact of demographic growth and agricultural expansion on forest management. It argues that the transition from animal husbandry to agriculture led to significant forest loss, as arable land was prioritized over forest preservation. The study emphasizes the need for statistical data on forest dynamics during this period, despite the challenges posed by incomplete records.
