This study evaluates the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) and body temperature changes during fetal MRI at 3.0 Tesla, involving 50 pregnant patients. The results indicate that while the mean SAR was 1.3 W/kg, there was no significant correlation between SAR values and temperature changes, suggesting that current practices remain within FDA safety limits. The study emphasizes the need for SAR-reducing strategies to ensure safe fetal imaging, particularly with HASTE sequences which showed higher SAR values.
