About this document

RTO Fuel Combustion Calculations by Nasrul Hazim is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The RTO treats waste gas by breaking the molecular bonds of VOC gases and reacting them with oxygen to form harmless gases. Natural gas is used as a spark for ignition, and then the VOCs fuel continued combustion. The RTO needs to reach 820°C before waste gas enters, as heating the air also requires energy. The energy supplied to the RTO equals the energy required to break VOC molecular bonds divided by the enthalpy of formation of the reactants.
