What is Christianity about?

This document is a thesis submitted in partial fulfillment of a Master of Liberal Studies degree. It examines the relationship between the vampire myth and Christianity. The thesis has four chapters that discuss the historical origins of vampires, how the myth was implemented in medieval Christian practices, the Balkan vampire and Dracula, and vampire sightings in the 17th-18th centuries. It argues that rather than eradicating the vampire myth, the Catholic Church exploited it to exert greater influence ove
