This study evaluates the effectiveness of two advanced oxidation processes, the Fenton reaction and titanium dioxide photocatalysis, for recovering water from bilge water. The Fenton reaction achieved a carbon abatement of 67%, which increased to 95% with prior flocculation treatment, while titanium dioxide photocatalysis achieved 64%. These methods demonstrate potential for treating bilge water to meet environmental discharge standards.
