In August 2024, the Indian Gas Exchange (IGX) traded approximately 4.7 million MMBtu of gas, marking a 15% month-over-month increase with 96 trades executed. The average price for gas deliveries was Rs 1,064 ($12.7/MMBTU), a decrease of 4% from the previous month. The month also saw the first trade at the Jaya delivery point, with significant trading activity at the Dahej delivery point, which accounted for 78% of the total volume.
