What is Lightweight Secure Provenance in WSNs about?
Large sensor networks are used for critical infrastructure but data can be compromised. This paper proposes a lightweight secure scheme using in-packet Bloom filters to encode data provenance for transmission. The scheme allows the base station to efficiently verify and reconstruct provenance to detect packet forgery or if data was dropped by malicious intermediate nodes. Analysis and testing showed the scheme is effective and efficient at securing provenance transmission in wireless sensor networks.
