What is Intel 8085 Microprocessor Pin Overview about?
The 8085A is an 8-bit microprocessor chip containing approximately 6200 transistors. It has a 40-pin configuration and requires a single +5V supply. It uses a multiplexed address-data bus due to the limited number of pins. The lower 8 address bits are output on pins AD7-AD0 during state T1, then these pins are used as a bi-directional data bus during states T2-T3. An ALE signal is output to latch the address and distinguish address vs. data on the bus. RD and WR control signals indicate read and write modes
