This capacitance meter uses a simple circuit to measure capacitance values from 1 pF to 20 uF. It works by using a time-base signal to trigger a monostable multivibrator, and the time it takes for the multivibrator to revert is proportional to the capacitance being measured. This time value is then integrated to provide an output voltage representing the capacitance. The instrument has a 3 1/2 digit LCD display, five measurement ranges, and a maximum error of 5%.
