What is The Wings of the Wind about?
Paul Miller, eternal prankster and son of Captain William Miller VC, deserts his studies at Cambridge to join the Royal Naval Air Service. When war breaks out, Paul is grounded through a flying injury while his father established a signals intelligence organisation that could win the war for Britain – until Paul brings an enemy to his door. Pioneer aviator Wing Commander Charles Samson offers Paul a place in his hastily formed RNAS Armoured Car Squadron, but not before his irresponsible actions cause a huge rift with his father. The armoured cars tear up the Belgian and Northern French countryside in a devastating battle with the Germans, but when Paul feuds with the cavalry reinforcements, Samson has no choice but to send him back to England on a top secret mission, one that could tear his family apart
